JT Hollis & The Night Train Band Members Bio's....
JT Hollis - Lead Vocals
After serving his country as a U.S. Army Infantryman, during Desert Shield/Desert Storm, and exiting the military, JT went back to one of his first loves... Singing and Performing.
JT has participated in vocal competitions including the Colgate Country Showdown (now known as the Texaco Country Showdown) and the Michigan Vet Fest Theme Song contest. JT was the 2009 winner of the MVF theme song contest with Me, You and the Red, White and Blue, an original composition drawn from his experience in the military. Another highlight was the opportunity to compete at the Little Nashville Opry in Nashville, IN. A place where the Who's Who of country music have performed.
In 2011, JT formed his own band "JT Hollis and The Night Train" and is out performing in local venues.
As a singer/songwriter, JT's music is being played around the world on internet radio stations. His song "Keep Pushing On" was the 4th most played song in Italy during the month of May, 2009.
JT is currently working on more original music and will be going into the studio with the band to record his first full cd. They are shooting for a release date in early 2012.
Lee "The B" Nelson - Lead Guitar, Slide Steel, Backup Vocals
Mr. Nelson was raised in Southern Texas, before relocating to Southwest Michigan.
Music Styles include Country, Rock, Jazz and the Blues.
He got his start playing in the Metro Atlanta area where he was ranked in the top 10 blues guitarists in the state.
Over the past 25 years, Lee "The B" Nelson, has played for several different bands, expanding his style, and making it unique to him. After seeing JT Hollis open for the band he was in, they talked, and decided to get together and see what they could do.
Lee's goal for JT Hollis & The Night Train is "to be able to make a living playing this music. and I'd like to take it on the road at the very least, at the most I'd like to take it to the top!"
Johnny "Goddamn" Hammond - Bass Guitar/Guitar
Hailing from Southwestern Michigan, Johnny showed a talent for music at a young age, by playing and chairing, in several instruments in school band.
Johnny started playin in local bands in the late 60's and is influenced by Hank Williams Sr, The Beatles, and The Ventures.
For the past 20 years or so, Johnny "Goddamn" Hammond, has spent most of that time playing together with his son, Lee "The B" Nelson, and loving every minute of it.
